As a teacher, I love the scaffolds built into this activity book! There is visual, auditory, and kinesthetic elements, there is reinforcement (circling AND writing answers), open and close ended questions…it’s perfect for learning. And the flag was completely new to me (and my major was history 🙃). My 8 yr old nephew enjoyed doing the whole booklet, but he said his favorite activity was “what does freedom mean to you?” He liked being able to give his personal answer with a picture. He wrote “freedom is a gift from God” and my sister in law (his mom) used that to emphasize how all humans were created in God’s image and explain (one reason) why slavery was evil.
